As winter is coming to an end, it’s a great time to go through some of those old winter clothes you’ve had around for years now. You may find that some of your jacket’s best days are behind it. However, that doesn’t mean you have to throw them away! There are so many cool and unique things you can do those old jackets by turning them into something incredible. To help you get started, this article will give you a few ideas for ways you can repurpose your old jackets!
Making A Pillow

One popular way to repurpose an old jacket is by turning it into a pillow. This is a really simple project that can be done in just a few minutes. All you need is a needle and some thread, and you can use the leftover fabric from your jacket to make a new pillow cover. You could also use this idea to make a pillowcase or even a small cushion. To do this start by cutting your jacket open along the seams. Then, cut out a piece of fabric that’s big enough to cover the entire pillow. Sew the edges of the fabric together, and then stuff the pillow inside. Then you can sew up the opening at the end.
Making A Jacket Quilt

Another great way to repurpose an old jacket is by turning it into a quilt. This can be a really fun project that you can do with your friends or family. Plus, it’s a great way to use up all of those old jackets that you have lying around. All you need is a quilt top, some batting, and some fabric for the back of the quilt.
You’ll also need a sewing machine to put it all together. To make a jacket quilt start by cutting your jackets open along the seams. Then, cut out squares or rectangles from the fabric. You should have enough fabric to make at least 4 quilt squares. Next, stack 3 of the squares together and sew them together using a sewing machine. Do the same with the other squares, and then sew them all together to create one big quilt.
Making A Jacket Scarf

If you don’t want to make a full quilt or pillow out of your old jacket, you could also make a simple scarf. All you need is some fabric scissors and a sewing machine. You could also use this concept to make a headband. When making a jacket scarf you will first need to cut the sleeves off of your jacket. Then, cut the sleeve fabric along the seams to create a long strip of fabric. Next, sew the two short ends of the fabric together to create a scarf. You may also have to hem the edges of the scarf so that it doesn’t fray.
