7 Plants You Can Grow Indoors Without Any Light

Love Laural

If you love flowers but cannot have any outdoor ones for any number of reasons, then these are just for you! There are many different plurals, most of which make great houseplants. These flowers only need minimal care, with occasional pruning needed if their leaves start to get too crowded. They also enjoy being in a sunny location, and although you should not feed them any plant food, you can add some fish emulsion to the water you use when watering these types of flowers.

Spider Plant

This is yet another plant that needs minimal care and does not need indirect sunlight or a grow light. The spider plant loves lots of water and sun, and it will quickly become one of your house’s favorite plants. It is easy to start this type of flower from seeds if you wish.

All you have to do is place the seeds in the soil and wait for them to sprout. This can take anywhere from two weeks up to four months, depending on the quality of the soil. When you add water to your spider plant, make sure it is around room temperature, and you only need to add the water once a week. If you do not have a green thumb, this may be the houseplant for you!

Peace Lily Plant

This type of flower comes in many different colors, but typically they are white or pale yellow. They usually bloom during the summer months or when placed outside on a porch or patio with plenty of sunlight. The peace lily will tolerate low light situations, making it an excellent addition for someone who prefers artificial lighting throughout their home.

It loves being watered frequently, which also helps with its blooming process and its ability to grow new leaves. If you allow these flowers to dry up completely, they will typically grow leaves from the stem instead of the roots. This is not something you want to happen, however.

Dracaena Plant

Another in the list of easy-care plants, dracaena does best when placed out on a porch or patio during warmer months and left inside colder ones. According to some, these flowers need medium sunlight but no direct sunlight.

More importantly, it needs lots of water with its soil kept moist yet never soggy. If your dracaena plant has grown too tall for your tastes, then cutting it back is something you will want to do. Remember that doing this can cause lower growth or new stems to appear below ground level, so be careful!

Conclusion

There are many types of plants that you can grow indoors without growing light. They range from easy to care for, depending on your situation and abilities. Also, remember indoor lighting will vary, so pay attention to your plant’s leaves because this will tell you exactly how much or how little sunlight it needs, as well as water!
