Home Remedies For Spring Time Allergies

Flowers are about to bloom, and spring is just knocking on our door. Spring brings warm sunshine, longer days, pollination, fresh grass, blooming trees and flowers, and seasonal allergies.

An allergy occurs when your immune system overreacts to an otherwise harmless allergen. In reality, these medications make people tired or cause headaches and sleeplessness.

Try These Home Remedies To Get Relief From Spring Allergies

Stay Hydrated With Water

When your body is going through dehydration, your immune function won’t work correctly. Your body will cause a rebound effect leading to runny nose, nasal congestion, coughing, sneezing, etc.

To prevent all this, you can consume two or three cups of warm water after waking up. After this, wait for at least half an hour before drinking or eating anything. Apart from this, make sure you don’t drink water while you have your meal. Instead, drink water half an hour before.

You can also drink two cups of warm water in the evening and one cup of water before and after showering.

Drink Peppermint Tea

Peppermint is known to be a natural remedy for dust and pollen allergy or any other respiratory allergy. Luteolin-7-O-rutinoside, a natural flavonoid found in peppermint tea, helps secret anti-inflammatory enzymes, such as histamines.

You can add a teaspoon of peppermint tea into the water and bring it to a boil. After this, allow the mixture to steep. Drink the tea while it’s mildly warm.
